Founded in Campinas in 2009, the firm also has branches in the cities of São Paulo and Limeira and serves clients from all over Brazil, in the most varied market segments.

Its team of attorneys is guided by its own working methodology, anchored in a strong focus on management and results. Based on jurimetrics, LG&P helps its clients manage their demands and make assertive decisions, thus enabling business, saving companies, seeing beyond the problems, anticipating rights and duties, and increasing the profitability of its partners.

Fernando Cesar Lopes Gonçales

Fernando fell in love with the Law when he read his older sister’s legal books as a teenager, and it wasn’t long before he discovered his professional calling: to advocate, contrary to the his parents’ expectations, who are doctors.

He began his career working in the 5th Federal Justice Court of Campinas and, since then, he has delved ever deeper into the Law.

He graduated with a Law degree from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas, completed a graduate program on Tax Law from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, and earned an MBA in Auditing and Tax Controller Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas.

He has worked in major law firms in Brazil and advised solid business groups, focusing primarily on corporate, tax and fiscal restructuring.

He worked before judges’ cabinets and with the Taxpayers’ Council (Conselho Administrativo de Recursos Fiscais – CARF) on preparing votes in Brasilia.

Passionate about academia and studies, he was invited by the Getúlio Vargas Foundation to teach Fundamentals of Private Law in a graduate level course. He was also graduate professor of Tax Law for Universidade Salesiana. He taught classes for preparatory courses for the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB – Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil) examination and has been a keynote speaker at many renowned universities.

After accumulating a few years as an attorney and many experiences in his professional career, he founded LG&P because he believed in a law firm where clients of all sizes could be treated with the same relevance.

With a correct stance, he takes the importance of the attorney for business corporations seriously and is categorical in demanding the best services and results for each client who seeks LG&P from his team.

He paused his academic activities — a project he intends to resume at some point in the future — to dedicate himself exclusively to the firm.

He is married to Milena, father to Maria Fernanda and Maria Beatriz, roots for the São Paulo team, likes rock, blues and Brazilian popular music.

He appreciates a good barbecue and likes to cook in his spare time, putting his pots, pans and spices to use.

Caio Françoso Petito

Caio is a businessman, father to Guilherme, and devoted to his family. He was captain of the Brazilian inline hockey team and a professional athlete for 15 years, during which time he participated in 12 world championships.

He started out in Law after his father advised him on which profession would bring him close to business. He began his career in law in the Business Structuring area at a renowned law firm, where he worked for two years.

He set up LG&P after a conversation with his friend Fernando at a bar table. They signed their first client right at the outset of LG&P’s operations and saw the firm grow sustainably, gaining strength and consolidating itself in the market.

An inspiration to the team, Caio makes a point of actively participating in the daily routine at the company. He bears the characteristics of the sport he played, considered one of the fastest in the world: dynamic, persistent, strategic and focused on results.

He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Graduate degree in Corporate Management from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. He speaks English and Spanish fluently.

He conducts the firm’s M&A operations which, from 2017 to 2018 alone, amounted to over 150 million dollars.

Passionate about his job, Caio renews his energy by playing with his son and traveling with his family!

He still has lunch at the same bar that inspired LG&P. Ten years later, many important office decisions are still made at the same table.
